Step 1
Schedule a school tour
Visit our campus before applying. Schedule a school tour here to begin the admission process.
Step 2
Submit the application form, portfolio and official transcript
Submit the application form, an art portfolio and the official transcript to admission@viennart.org. The portfolio should include at least 10 pieces of artwork, 5 of which have to be observational drawings/paintings.
​Submitting recommendation letters is encouraged but not required.
Step 3
Attend a drawing test
After reviewing the portfolio and transcript, our admissions team will notify you of the results. If you pass the review, our staff will contact you to schedule a 3-hour in-person observational drawing test.

* Middle School Arts or Portfolio Prep students from ViennART Community may have the portfolio and drawing test waived with the admission director’s approval.
Step 4
Student & parent interview
If you pass the drawing test, we will invite you and your parent(s) for an interview.

Art portfolio requirements

Prepare a portfolio consisting of 10 pieces of artwork.

Include a minimum of 5 observational drawings or paintings.

The artwork can be exclusively drawings and paintings, or it may also include 3-dimensional works such as sculptures or installations, as well as time-based works like videos.

For non-digital artwork, document them by scanning or capturing them through cameras.

Images should be saved in either JPG or PNG format. Each image should not exceed a file size of 5MB.

If submitting videos, they should be in MP4 or MOV format. Video files should not exceed a file size of 250MB.

If submitting any written documents, save them as PDF files. The PDF file should not exceed a file size of 10MB.
